THE ROYAL FLEET RESERVE LONG SERVICE AND GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL

Obverse: An Uncrowned Effigy of the Sovereign.

Reverse: A naval ship steaming through the water, with the words "DIUTURNE FIDELIS" at the bottom.

Size: 31mm in diameter.

Ribbon: 32mm wide, the ribbon is dark blue with a 5mm wide white stripe on each edge and a 3mm red stripe on the inside of these.

Suspension: The ribbon is threaded through a 16mm diameter ring, which passes through a loop fixed to the top of the piece. The ring will move forwards and backwards.

This medal was awarded to ratings of the Royal Fleet Reserve (N.Z.) for twelve years' efficient service. War service counted double towards the award of these medals. The Royal Fleet Reserve (N.Z.) was disbanded after World War Two.
